The Onion, to the rescue, again.
I've been a little bit waffley on the Larry Craig thing, and I think now I've flip-flopped all the way back to feeling rather sorry for him, especially after the GOP cabal so quickly and abusively threw him under the bus, and the Democrats were free to simply express dismay (as opposed to, say, compassion). It's quite possible he's just terribly terribly messed up inside, which is really a big shame.
Remarkably, the pajamas media folks have a speech that might have made things a little better. I mean, it's nice, but it doesn't say "Hey Gay people, sorry for all the draconian laws I passed." Maybe because the writer doesn't think LC is gay, either. Hmm. Maybe it's not so surprising it's coming from PM.
Anyway, the Onion gets it right in the end.
